Boundless Media trade show booth with an AZ Arcade Co claw machine at SYNKD Live Phoenix at The Duce

Trade Show Booth Idea: A Claw Machine at SYNKD Live Phoenix

October 30, 2026•3 min read

Every booth at a trade show is fighting for the same thing: a few minutes of someone's attention. At SYNKD Live Phoenix, Boundless Media tried something different and put an AZ Arcade Co claw machine right in their booth.

Event snapshot

  • Event: SYNKD Live Phoenix, vendor booth
  • Date: September 30, 2026
  • Location: The Duce, Phoenix, AZ
  • Guests: About 100 attendees
  • Machine: Space-themed Mini EXTREME claw machine with color-changing LED lights
  • Prizes: Our standard prize mix
  • Partner: Boundless Media

The booth setup

The setup was simple: a standard vendor table, the Boundless banner on one end and the claw machine on the other, facing the aisle so foot traffic could see it from across the room. The machine takes about 2 ft x 2 ft and one standard outlet, so it fit into a normal booth footprint without crowding the table.

How it went

The Duce is a big, busy space, and the green glow of the claw machine stood out against every other vendor in the room. People walked over to play, stuck around to cheer each other on, and stayed long enough for real conversations with the Boundless team.

"We had people stopping at our booth when other booths were empty! The machine was an amazing way to get people stopping at the booth, having fun, and staying there long enough for us to give them our pitch. We even got messages after of people sending us photos of their prizes and how it made them smile days after the event. Way more memorable than a business card. We did end up closing a few deals because of it too."

Why a claw machine works at a booth

  • It stops foot traffic. A glowing arcade machine is hard to walk past, even in a room full of vendors.
  • It buys you time. People stay at your booth while they play and while they watch friends play, which gives your team a natural opening to talk.
  • The prize goes home with them. Attendees were still sending photos of their prizes days later. You can also stock the machine with your own branded swag.

Shoutout to Boundless Media

Boundless Media (@getboundlessmedia on Instagram) is a Phoenix-based lead generation agency for landscaping, hardscaping, pool and outdoor living businesses. What makes them different is that they don't stop at running ads. Their focus is lead follow-up and booking, so the leads they generate actually turn into appointments on the calendar. Bringing a claw machine to a trade show booth is exactly their style: find a better way to start the conversation, then follow through. If you run an outdoor living business, they're worth a call.

And a big thank you to SYNKD for putting on SYNKD Live, an event built for landscape design, build and maintenance professionals, with keynotes, roundtables and a vendor showcase that made a great home for this booth.
